Activities: Training
ODS offers several dedicated training for such as:
Operating and Maintenance training’s
This training covers the broad spectrum of the implementation of custody transfer measurement systems. We will inform you into detail about the functionality of operation of flow meters, field transmitters, flow computers and reporting procedures (when applicable). The course aims to explain the monetary significance of actions taken by personnel at all stages of the measurement process from operation to calibration and accounting. The course exists of the following main topics:
- Basic principles of fiscal metering
- Operating procedure: startup, limitations, shut down, line fill,
- Theory of the functionality of all field instruments;
- Processing of the data from these instruments;
- Used Calculation methods of fiscal quantities; calibration intervals;
- Processing of the fiscal data;
- Fault conditions: predictable / non predictable fault conditions, classification of actions, meter run failures, flow computer failures;
- Documentation control.
Emphasis between the "basic" or the "complex" aspects can be varied to suit the experience of the delegates attending.
Hands on training
ODS offers hands on training’s where attendees learn to configure and operate instrument that are used in the metering system; such as:
- Flowmeters;
- Transmitters;
- Samplers;
- Analysers.
Flow computer training for operators
Subjects that will be handled are:
- The concept of a flowcomputer;

- The modules of the flowcomputer;
- Connecting In- and Outputs to the flow computer;
- Using the communication software;
- Checking I/O's;
- Errors and alarms;
- Explanation of applications.
Enhanced flow computer training for engineers
