Designing and building a high accurate metering system is one thing but to keep it accurate is a complete other thing. ODS is well experienced in all topics involved with calibration and validation for loose components of metering systems or even complete metering systems.
Throughout our NMi (Dutch Institute of Measurement and Weights) certified calibration installation at ODS Barendrecht we have more then 35 years experience in calibrating all types of flow meters and installations. Beside our stationary installation we also operate our own mobile compact prover. With this mobile installation we calibrate flow meters and metering systems at all major end users such as Shell, Exxon-Mobil, Nerefco, Q8, etc..
With the experience from our own calibration background we are also more then qualified to design, develop and manufacturer complete calibration and validation solutions for the metering systems that we deliver. No matter whether we are talking about a master meter solution, bi/uni-directional or compact prover we have the answer to your calibration question.
We strongly have the feeling that an operator should not only look to the long term accuracy of flow meters in a installation but also to secondary instruments like pressure and temperature transmitters, density cells, etc., etc. ODS can deliver also deliver calibration and validation systems for this kind of instruments completely integrated in the metering system itself.
Beside integrating the calibrations instruments (provers, master meters, deadweight testers, temperature blocks, etc.) itself we also have developed a software package as interface between the operator and field equipment. This dedicated calibration/validation software package makes a complete automated operation of calibration/validation possible complete with all necessary documents and reports (as found/as left results, calibration reports and history of all involved instruments) which eliminate possible operator errors and makes online calibration possible without any production time lost.
