Liquid Metering Systems: Ultrasonic
Ultrasonic Flow Meters (UFM’s) are already well established in the most parts of the World for use in custody transfer applications. They have become a popular alternative for traditional mechanical flow meters due to low pressure loss advantages, low maintenance requirements, availability of large sizes (>42"), etc.
The key to an accurate metering system based on UFM's is a careful integration. As ODS has experience with ultrasonic technology since the early nineties we are your strategic partner for ultrasonic flow metering systems.
ODS has implemented fiscal ultrasonic flow meters of the main manufacturers (such as Krohne, Faure Herman and Caldon) in a variety of fiscal metering systems. A good example is the use of ultrasonic flow meters at FPSO’s offloading systems and pipeline metering systems.
