Gas Metering Systems: Coriolis
Recently the use of Coriolis Mass Flow Meters (CMF’s) is more and more accepted as an alternative measuring method for fiscal gas metering systems.
As the density of a gas is depending on parameters like pressure, temperature and gas composition the advantages of using a CMF is that the measuring output is directly presented in mass flow (tons per second). Other measuring techniques need compensation calculations to present in mass.
The implementation of CMF’s in custody transfer gas metering systems is currently restricted to applications with a relative high pressure, a small line size (< 6”) and limited turn down ratio (< 1:10).
ODS has a leading position in integrating CFM's in custody transfer metering systems for on- and offshore projects. We can advise you about specific installation requirements, regarding calibration considerations, control system functionality and on many other CFM related details.
