Activities: Calibration
Calibration Services
Under the supervision of ODS, flowmeters of many companies are calibrated in national and international testing laboratories. ODS is familiar with this process, and we know their possibilities and procedures. That is why you should take advantage of our knowledge and expertise, and let us take care of your calibrations. ODS is familiar with leading calibration institutes like: Euroloop (NMi), Trapil, Pigsar (EOn Ruhrgas), Cameron Caldon Ultrasonics Technology Centre (Cameron CUTC), SPSE, TUVNEL, Gasunie Engineering & Technology (GET), Advantica Flow Centre, Force, Trans-Canada Calibrations Ltd (TCC), C&TSI and Deltares (Waterloopkundig Laboratorium). We can help you to decide which institute is most suitable for your flowmeter, both technically and economically. "ODS calibration services" aims to take care of the complete calibration process, up to delivery of the calibrated meter at your premises. Download our Calibration Services brochure.
Calibration at ODS’s workshop in Barendrecht
ODS has several NMi-certified stationary rigs to calibrate in-line flow meters. These rigs are universal and suitable for all flow measuring principles. Besides ODS flow meters we accept flow meters of almost every other brand.
The test fluids are either water or conservation oil. A calibration can be based on volume and/or mass. We issue NKO or NMi recognised certificates.
Verispect, the supervisor of compliance concerned with the regulations for Weights and Measures, recognises ODS inspections.
Calibration Onsite
ODS uses a mobile compact prover for on-site calibrations. A mobile compact prover is a NMi certified calibration rig, mounted on a truck. An on-site calibration is often required for flow meters in unloading & loading custody transfer applications in the (petro)chemical and distribution industry. The advantages of calibration onsite are:
- The total metering system including piping, valves, manifolds and in- and outlet sections is calibrated;
- The calibration is carried out under process conditions (pressure and temperature);
- The process liquid can be used as test fluid;
- The de-mount of the meter is not required.
